Training
A vital component of our overall service offering is the Training aspect we provide to new and potential recruits into Australia. The aged care sector offers a rewarding career path, allowing you to make a real difference in the lives of seniors.
While skills are an essential part to be able to work in Australia, our objective is to sharpen those skills further while also preparing selected candidates on what to expect by working in Australia and the different culture and dynamics at play.
Interpersonal skill training among other areas is a part of what we aim to cover in our training programs.
Domain Associates is proud to be associated with offering the PALM visa scheme. We are partnered with industries across Australia that require skills of different levels. Our goal is to create fresh opportunities for work and temporary living for personnel within the PALM designated countries.
The scheme is designed to address labor shortages in regional and rural Australia, with some exceptions for the agriculture sector nationally. Importantly, there is currently no guaranteed pathway to permanent residency through the PALM scheme.
Here’s what you need to know and how you can be a part of the PALM scheme.
The Basics:
• The PALM scheme stands for Pacific Australia Labour Mobility.
• It’s a program that allows eligible employers in Australia to hire workers from specific Pacific Island countries and Timor-Leste to fill job vacancies.
• These vacancies are typically low-skilled or semi-skilled positions.
• There are two streams: short-term (up to 9 months) and long-term (1-4 years).
Eligibility:
• To be eligible as a worker, you’ll need to be a citizen of a participating Pacific Island country or Timor-Leste.
• You’ll also need to have the skills and qualifications for the specific job you’re applying for.
